Rodrigo is a R&D Leader at AgBiome. Prior to AgBiome he was the R&D Director – Input Traits Discovery (Insect Control & Herbicide Tolerance) for Corteva Agriscience, where he arrived as part of the merger with DuPont and Dow AgroSciences (DAS). While at DAS, and since 2010, he held various positions the latest of which was Global Trait Product Development (TPD) R&D Leader and prior to that he was also Dicot Crops TPD Leader and Soybean Leader. He joined DAS to establish and lead the Dow AgroSciences Dicot Center at the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette, Indiana. Previously he also worked for BASF Plant Sciences where he established and led the Trait Knowledge Technology Center, working on agronomic and input traits. While at BASF and earlier in his career he held roles as research scientist and leader of technical teams in the area of abiotic stress and yield. Rodrigo initiated his career in Colombia working with the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) – Biotechnology Unit. He holds a B.S. in Biology (Genetics) from Universidad del Valle in his native Colombia and a Ph.D. from Purdue University (IN).
