Brooke Bissinger is a broadly trained entomologist with a background in agriculture, repellents, medical and veterinary entomology. She leads AgBiome’s Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded project to discover biological control of sweet potato weevils for sub-Saharan Africa and is actively involved in the discovery of other biologicals and traits for insect control. Prior to joining AgBiome, Brooke worked at TyraTech, Inc., most recently as Director of R&D over repellents and animal health where she led the team that developed the Guardian™ line of mosquito repellents.

Brooke completed her undergraduate work in Environmental Studies at Warren Wilson College and holds MS and Ph.D. degrees in Entomology from North Carolina State University.
