James KremerJames Kremer is a microbial ecologist at AgBiome with expertise in plant-microbe interactions and host-associated microbial communities. At Michigan State University, James developed a gnotobiotic growth system to study the impact of the plant microbiome on development, innate immunity, and pathogen defense. James has used cutting-edge metabolomics, molecular ecology, and novel host/pathogen transcriptomics to address the age-old question: “what does the plant microbiome do?” He is also a music enthusiast and plays guitar or frequents concerts when he gets the chance. If you can’t find him, he is probably out mountain biking.
