Braden Tierney

bradenBraden specializes in incorporating cutting-edge microscopy and imaging techniques into the various aspects of AgBiome. A Massachusetts native, he spent four years at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Gary Borisy’s lab, where he worked on building methods for visualizing oral and gut bacterial communities. At AgBiome, he uses these sets of tools as well as others to help see what’s happening around, in, and on plant roots. He also is affiliated with the Benfey lab at Duke University and the Shank lab at UNC, where he works on similar imaging-based projects.
